As a healthcare worker, I have had the privilege to participate in many DAISY presentations and hear the stories surrounding compassion and kindness. My wife had surgery which required an overnight stay. At one point in the evening, I was down at Starbucks and a nurse was patiently waiting in line to purchase a water. The next morning David walked into my wife’s room, and I immediately recognized him, and he remembered me as well. David shared he was getting a bottled water for one of his patients who was nervous about drinking tap water. David used his badge to purchase the water. David was very humble while telling me this story and this unselfish act of kindness shown by David was amazing. As he provided care to my wife, I was witness to his kindness and professionalism. David was very gentle and took the time to explain everything he was doing as well as what to expect. I am very proud to have David as a Baptist team member and ambassador.
