Brooke was my night shift nurse after my c-section. I had a history of hemorrhaging after my first c-section, so she took it upon herself to be extra vigilant even though things went well in the OR/recovery. When I got to my post-partum room, Brooke continued to check on me and assess my bleeding.
Within minutes of getting settled in our room, Brooke noticed a change in my bleeding and immediately took action. She notified the doctor, got medication ready, called for back-up to start a second IV, and kept me informed the entire time. She remained calm and collected and was ready to answer questions in and assist when the doctor arrived.
Had Brooke not been on top of my care, I would have easily lost a lot more blood and returned to the OR. I credit Brooke for turning a potentially critical situation into one that was able to be handled in a less invasive manner. I cannot thank Brooke enough for that night.

I just want to say thank you for the care you showed me and my baby. This was my second time, last time I was pregnant and sick with my leg. This time I delivered my baby, you told me about getting the compression brace for my stomach for relief from having pain from surgery and coughing. I really appreciate you taking my baby to the nursery just so I could have some rest. I know or I’m sure everyone can have that done, but I definitely appreciate you.
Brooke was on night shift and she came in during the middle of my labor. I don't know Brooke's last name, but she was truly a Godsend. My baby girl came earlier than expected. Brooke gave me outstanding care and support on what could have otherwise been an extremely scary day. Throughout the entire process and the entire night, she helped me through every stage and stayed calm and collected. I know that nursing is her job, but I also recognize that not every nurse can give this quality of care. Thank you for all you do, Brooke! you're a rockstar!
