We couldn’t imagine a better person to help us through this last day.
From Wife of Patient:
My husband suffered a stroke, couldn’t move the right side of his body and he got very agitated. Becky handled the situation beautifully, providing patient compassionate care all day.
From Patient:
I am a past ICU nurse of 7-8 years, and currently a clinical nurse educator. All of the staff have been great, but Rebecca is one of the best nurses I’ve seen. My brother was too young for this, and it has been incredibly hard on us family members. My family can be stressful, but Rebecca was so caring and gentle with everyone. Even though we all knew it would be his last day, she worked so hard to make sure he could make it long enough for everyone to be with him. She was great with her nursing skills and communicated so well about it all. We later found she had more than one patient, but she made us feel like we were the only ones that were important on the floor. We couldn’t imagine a better person to help us through this last day. We appreciated her so much, and she deserves to be recognized. I understand the effort she is taking to make this level of impact on her patients and their families, and that sacrifice is not lost on us.
