You are an empowering leader who seeks to grow other leaders. I personally appreciate all the time we spent together over the last 5 years, ensuring I was prepared to carry on the strong legacy that you are leaving.
The DAISY recipient is someone who is recognized for making a difference in a patient's life. As the Chief Nursing Officer for over 18 years, you made an impact on so many patients' lives at Jefferson Regional. This was accomplished in a couple of ways.

First by ensuring your nursing leadership team was focused on the entire patient experience, including quality and safety.

Secondly by providing a culture for all nurses to flourish. Culture is something I think of when I reflect on you and the processes you implemented. You're always looking at the process to see how we could do things better to prevent other nurses from making the same mistakes.

Lastly, you are an empowering leader who seeks to grow other leaders. I personally appreciate all the time we spent together over the last 5 years, ensuring I was prepared to carry on the strong legacy that you are leaving. Today we recognize that as leaders we too have an impact on patients daily.
