Cheyenne was the exact nurse I needed.
I am in drug rehab getting sober after 30+ years of addiction, using alcohol and drugs. Basically, anything I can get my hands on. I came into this hospital feeling short of breath and with low oxygen. Cheyenne was the exact nurse I needed. When I felt lonely, she spent time with me. When I felt like criticizing myself, she told me not to be so hard on myself. When I felt ugly, she told me I was not. When I felt like I was drug-seeking, she explained gently that I was not, and it was okay to be in the MAT program. Cheyenne means so much to me in less than 72 hours. I can honestly say I love her because of her compassion, directness, and caring about my WHOLE BEING, not just what I was in the hospital for.

I do not have a phone because rehab will not let me have one. Cheyenne looked up my mother’s phone number, who I haven’t spoken to in over 2 years. Later, Cheyenne had the concern to ask me if I had reached my mother and how it went. I just feel so much gratitude for Cheyenne. I know there are other things that she has done for me, but it meant so much when she took the time to just talk about things when I needed it. I tried to be aware of her time, as I knew she needed to be looking after others, but she shared extra time that she had with me.

Cheyenne is a wonderful young woman. I believe that she is a huge asset to this hospital, and I know she is an awesome nurse and caretaker.
