I was admitted to 5 East on Monday. I have had my nurse for the past 3 days and she has been amazing. She has fought for me every step of the way from controlling my pain to being able to eat. I have a four-year-old grandson and a two-year-old granddaughter whom she makes feel special when they come to visit. She has shown so nice compassion and support on my healing journey. She has gone out of her way to make me comfortable or just to lend an ear. She takes the time to listen and help me come up with a plan to help better manage my pain while I’m here. She makes sure I understand everything the doctor tells me and makes sure I have no questions that were not answered. I wish all the nurses I had during my stay were as fantastic as her.
