Most nurses absolutely dread when a family member is a nurse. Ana never dismissed any of my questions and was welcoming of suggestions to get my mom more comfortable. She returns calls promptly. She is always positive and my mom loved her so much. I think she worked harder to get up to please Ana. She even said on the day before discharge that she is “ready to go if Ana is not going to be here tomorrow”. She was much kinder and more patient than I would have been with my mother. All the staff was great. Ana exemplifies the nurse that I hope I am with my patients.
