Nicole was an exceptional caring nurse. My family member was very weak when admitted. Nicole did everything she could to make them comfortable. My family member was scheduled for an echocardiogram at 9 am but the medical staff came for her at 7:30 a.m. which is just too early. My family member had a really rough day and couldn’t sleep. Nicole posted a sign not to disturb until morning blood draws, which allowed her to get better rest. One time the nutrition department forgot something on their tray. Nicole said she was going to the cafeteria anyway and brought the missing item. She always made sure my family member received their breakfast and helped her choose from the menu. Nicole also always ensured my family member assistance with feeding. The day Nicole’s schedule changed and wasn’t there, we got to the hospital around 11:45 a.m. My family member didn’t have breakfast yet, and her oatmeal came around 1 pm after we called again for it - that never would have happened under Nicole’s care. Nicole was so kind and caring. She gave us all a hug and said she would pray for us. She left a card and a gift for us. Nicole was very compassionate and reassuring. We felt our family member was well taken care of by Nicole. She always went above and beyond to care for our mother.
