I have been fortunate to oversee Chris as his Nurse Manager in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and have been consistently impressed by both Chris’s attitude toward his work and his performance on the job. His interpersonal and communication skills have allowed him to develop productive working relationships with our patients, colleagues, and physicians. Chris is reliable and approaches every situation proactively; he is consistently looking for ways to enhance the unit and make it better.

Chris has a passion for learning and a talent for passing his knowledge to others. He displays incredible patience with his team, is a great educator, and is very funny. He leads by example - and makes you want to be the best - which pushes nurses to go above and beyond making them the best nurse they can be. Chris is very organized and thoughtful in his decision-making. Staff have shared he is the reason they remain on nights.

Chris remains calm even in the most stressful of situations. His gregarious demeanor, and quick smile, makes him highly approachable to all staff and students on the floor. Chris makes staff feel safe and helps decrease the anxiety of our new nurses. He holds his team accountable in the best way and pushes them to be the best they can be. I wholeheartedly believe Chris Padilla is a DAISY Nurse.
