Julie’s leadership style brings joy and empowerment to those who collaborate with her.
Julie Glover has been a huge asset to nursing over the years. I have been working with her on ACHC compliance and she has been an advocate for the bedside caregivers. She gives staff and leadership feedback on what we should question and push back on and what changes we need to do in our clinical care for patients. Julie is a leader by example, she has worked in the OR and in leadership and is respected because of this. Physicians listen to her; staff feel she understands them, and leaders go to her for support and advice.

Julie was the go-to during COVID, asked to set up COVID testing, COVID vaccination clinics, COVID IV infusion clinics, and running the Command Center daily. Julie was the point person when we were running out of N95 masks, working with peers to figure out a plan. She was the go-to when we didn’t have enough gowns for patient care, working to find an alternative that was palatable for clinical staff.

Julie doesn’t know the meaning of the word no. If asked to do anything she always answers with a smile and an enthusiastic "Yes, we can get that done.” Julie knows what it means and takes to be Franciscan. She is well deserving of this DAISY Award.

Julie has an uncanny ability to view situations from the patient’s perspective, assess the situation, and bring a team together to work on the opportunity. She does this in such a way that makes staff feel safe to share their ideas and excited to improve the process. Julie’s leadership style brings joy and empowerment to those who collaborate with her. Whether it be in a committee meeting or informal chat with her, you know she is with you and will do whatever in her power to improve the obstacle you are facing.
