My mom was admitted to the sixth floor and the nursing care she received was excellent. I’m a R.N. and have worked in the medical profession for over 40 years so I recognize good nursing care. Ann Hobbs is the best nurse I’ve ever seen. Compassion cannot be taught. You either have it or you don’t. She is exceptional. She exhibited kindness, compassion and truly cared for her patients as well as their families. When I was told by the physicians that my mom needed surgery, however, it was not recommended as they felt she would not survive the surgery, we chose palliative care. My mom was in excruciating pain. Ann went above and beyond making sure my mom was comfortable. I chose not to leave her side, as I wanted to ensure I was there when she passed. She once again made sure that not only my mom was comfortable, but I was as well.
