I came into the hospital at 9am with an acute pain in my upper abdomen. I had an appointment with the MD of internal Medicine who suspected a gallbladder stone but needed verification via ultrasound and blood tests. Getting these done took the whole day due to the processes n procedures insurance etc. I got both results finally at 16:45 and the MD confirmed the presence of stones in the gall bladder and said gall bladder removal surgery was needed to fix it. The receptionist gave me an appointment for the next day. Resigned to the fact after being sent from department to department, I went to the OPD nurse Greeshma, who confirmed the appointment for the following day. She had seen me throughout the day moving back and forth in pain. She looked at the paper and said why tomorrow, Doctor is in - let us do it now. She went to the receptionist and changed the appointment and led me straight to the Surgeon General's office. I will never forget this act of kindness.

An OPD nurse who is observant of patients moving around in pain and shows empathy and quick action is indeed a God send for any Hospital. She is a DAISY Nurse.
