I met Linzi at my 16-week clinic appointment having just gone through a bad MMC and having poor care I was understandably very scared. I also have a Cardic daughter, so the worry of this happening again feared me. I explained all this to Linzi and her care from then on was phenomenal. She went above and beyond and even turned up to my 20-week scan for support as I was petrified- I will never forget this. She supported me and took me on her books for our care. Linzi not only looked after my pregnancy journey but also my mental health after previous trauma through pregnancies. I understand you go through lots of training to become a midwife, but love, care, and affection cannot be taught, and Linzi gave all of these at the highest level, you can tell this isn’t just a job for her, it is a passion, and she puts her all into what she does.

When my waters had broken Linzi came to check on me in the labor suite, I was sent home and one hour later I was at 6cm. After messaging Linzi, 20 minutes later she walked through the doors to deliver my rainbow baby girl. I had said all along I would love it if she would deliver her and she did, when I thought I couldn’t go on she pushed me, praised me, and delivered my baby girl safely. Linzi was supposed to be taking her own family out on this day to see the Xmas lights, but she stayed with me and then helped after on the labor ward as it was busy. She missed her family to welcome new families. Even the aftercare when my little girl got poorly still went above and beyond. This lady is worth her weight in gold, and she deserves all the recognition in the world. Thank you.
