Khadene is such an inspiration to me. You would think that she has been a nurse for so much longer than she has. When I first met her, I was surprised to learn that she had never precepted anyone and I immediately didn't understand why. She is so incredibly intelligent and kind to her patients. She stays calm when I am not. I once had a patient that was rapidly deteriorating and I didn't know what to do, and Khadene came in and saved us both. I've never seen someone so deserving of so much more. She is truly an amazing nurse and person. In her free time, she restocks the whole unit, wipes everything down, and organizes everything. She once had a patient code with only the two of us and the physician in the room and she was calm and clearly stated what she needed from me. She does everything and more for her patients and is more than willing to take extra responsibility. I aspire to be more like her.
