Whenever she is assigned to F, she is taking the extra mile to show her care and compassion not just as a nurse but as a significant other to her.
F was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma last August 2020, a time that has been a surprise and a real challenge to our family. That is the time she met a staff nurse named Jenny Manos. Ate Jenny as she fondly calls her, treats her as a sister and takes care of her preciously. From the time of her being diagnosed and all along during her admissions, Jenny has been there to support her and make sure she feels at ease in any possible way. It has never been an easy fight for F and the rest of the family, but Ate Jenny has been F’s comfort. Whenever she is assigned to F, she is taking the extra mile to show her care and compassion not just as a nurse but as a significant other to her. In times that she is not the assigned nurse, she is still checking on F during her duty to post that wonderful smile and make sure she is doing fine and in the best of health. F is looking forward to their exciting Friday bath every time because she will be with her Ate Jenny who has the gentlest touch and mesmerizing love for her. Ate Jenny gave the best care to F which made her journey in her battle easy to get through and smooth. During F’s last moments, Ate Jenny has been a shoulder to lean on. Even if she is in the last part of her battle, she will never ever forget Ate Jenny, she was even able to say I love you and thank you to her; letting her know that she was well loved by Ate Jenny.
