Amanda was my father’s hospice nurse. During this time it’s extremely important to have someone that is caring not only for the patient but for the family. We really didn’t have any idea of what to expect with the process of hospice and what was normal or abnormal for our dad to be going through.

Day in and day out Amanda would go above and beyond to make sure we were ALL doing okay. She didn’t just do the duties of the nurse she became a part of our family. The night our father passed away Amanda was not on call but she gave us her personal number because she wanted to make sure she was the one who was there for us when he passed.

She dropped everything and spent hours of her time unselfishly, grieving alongside us. This made a huge impact on our family and I’m not sure we could have made it through such a rough time as well as we did without her assistance. We call her our angel that Dad sent. We still keep up with her even after his passing.
