In March, my husband and I had a stillbirth baby girl. Nurse Karen was a very big blessing that evening. She made me feel like our baby mattered and was as special as a living baby. I’ll never forget her telling our baby how sweet and beautiful she was. In such a difficult time she was a big blessing during the time we spent with our daughter. Karen gave us the support we needed, was gentle and kind, and yet gave us the space to grieve with our daughter. All the nurses and doctors we saw that night went above and beyond for their care and consideration of our feelings.
