I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for Shawna Burns. My family and I were especially grateful to meet her. We know she was an angel sent to us during a time we needed most. My husband was in a motorcycle accident and spent eight days fighting to wake up, wanting to live. We were truly devastated that he could not wake up. Shawna was there for my family each step of the way, while caring for my husband, she was always reaching out to care for our family. She worked extra to get him prepared quickly for his surgery. She was kind to make sure I was always as close to my husband as I could be. We had sonograms, hand casts, and hand prints done because she took the time to make sure we had everything we could to hold onto our hero. I am truly blessed she was brought to me in the worst moments of my life. I had peace as she went the final steps with him into the operating room. My husband gave the gift of himself and Shawna made sure she was there holding his hand. I'm certain he was safe because he had his angel with him. We knew Shawna was a gift for us all right away. We can see her soul shine bright from her eyes. I hope she will always be able to share her gifts of love and courage. My husband was her patient and we'll forever be her family. Thank you for Shawna.
