I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the DAISY Award! When you hear “thrive”, you not only think of Kaiser, but you also think of Katy. She is the real-life Wonder Woman! Nurse, Oncology Infusion Nurse, PICC Nurse, Team Lead, Work Mom… you name it, she does it all. From providing exceptional patient care, to being our go-to person for expert knowledge and advice, to making sure our bellies are happy and full with homemade baked goods, to being part of the reason why things get better and implementing new ways on how to run a smoother ship. The organizer and main chef of our potlucks, the organizer of our monthly hikes (thriving at its best), the organizer of most if not all of our work family’s get-togethers. You make a difference! As a nurse, you have the opportunity to heal the mind, soul, heart, and bodies of our patients. You go above and beyond, providing high-quality care for each and every patient you come across.
