She has been working diligently on a research trial to support the usage of Continuous Glucose Monitors in critical care vs the point-of-care meters.
Raj has been such an asset to me and critical care. I have reached out to her numerous times to her for help. She is always quick to respond and produce solutions on helping our patients. She has been integral in helping 5SA staff understand our new policies and procedures regarding changes to our insulin protocols. She has been working diligently on a research trial to support the usage of Continuous Glucose Monitors in critical care vs the point-of-care meters. This year I reached out to her to help with 5SA education, and she took extra time out of her schedule to attend our education days and do a large Q & A session for our staff.
5SA staff is newer to working with the Glycemic team. Raj was able to help them navigate how we function in the ICU. She was also able to help me as a manager field issues and concerns that the Glycemic team had with nursing.
Whenever we have questions, she is always willing to stop by and check in with us. We had an extremely challenging patient with a CGM earlier this year. The patient was not letting the ICU team manage her glucose because she wanted a lower glycemic goal. She was very challenging with her diet and her regimen. Raj spent a lot of time with the patient and the teams to help navigate a care plan that was safe for the patient and was agreeable by the patient and the teams.
