My grandmother-in-law was hospitalized recently after falling at home, we later found out that she was bleeding in her brain. Her prognosis was grim and my family and I were grieving. She was extremely confused and agitated during her hospitalization, unable to even recognize her daughter whom she lived with.

We had a bad experience with one of the night shift nurses and we requested a different nurse. Philip who was the charge nurse that night came to us and explained honestly and with so much compassion that there was no way to change nurses at that time, but he would personally talk to the primary nurse and attempt to rectify the situation.

When the primary nurse came back, it was night and day! Philip would then return throughout the night and check up on us, offering help to the primary nurse and giving quality advice to all our questions regarding patient care.

We knew that as long as Philip was in charge our grandmother would be in good hands.
