During my mother's stay in Boone hospital, we encountered the most amazing nurse and I truly believe that she saved my mother's life and changed my life forever. She came on at a very scary time. We were unsure if my mom was going to make it and things seemed so grim. Becky brought hope and a plan. She took the time to understand the whole situation, asked many questions, and helped us understand what options we had. She educated us on our options and believed that my mom could achieve these goals. She encouraged my mom and my sister and me to start with small steps and trust the process. She brought in all the right people to talk with us and help us understand what to expect. Within the 2 days that we were with Becky, we were seeing my mom getting stronger and we had a well-laid plan for what would happen when we were dismissed. She is a wealth of knowledge but more than that, she has a heart of gold. I felt like she was part of our family and that she did nothing less than she would have if it was her own mother. We feel so blessed to have had Becky as our nurse and I believe with my whole heart that she saved my mother's life by offering her hope! She is a nurse for all the right reasons. She shows kindness and love to people she does not even know. I hope that all of that comes back to her because she is so deserving of kindness and love! We love Becky!
