Angela is the type of nurse that you want taking care of you during your labor and delivery experience. She is always going above and beyond for each and every patient she cares for. Not only is Angela an L&D nurse, but she is also the only lactation nurse CVH currently has. Each day, Angela shows up ready to work. She provides some of the most compassionate care I have ever seen and makes sure all her patients are heard and cared for, and able to reach their breastfeeding goals. She is the heart of our unit.

I have watched Angela over the last two years put her heart and soul into helping the patients and community be successful with breastfeeding. She is dedicated to this role in order to give babies the best start ever. As the one International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) provider at CVH, she comes in on her day off to help moms who are either inpatients or outpatients. She helps her team with education surrounding this skill/knowledge. Angela has also started communicating with the lactation staff at SVH in order to decrease variation in her practice and the overall IBCLC practice in the organization. I am so proud of the work that she has done in the last two years and applaud her for the extra work and time it takes to be an IBCLC in the organization and in this community. It is nurses like her who help the community gain and maintain trust in healthcare.
