I was a patient for 3 weeks with a diagnosis of acute kidney injury. Shyni was my nurse for week 3. She was easily the best nurse I had during my stay. She checked on me regularly. Explained all medications she gave to me and always had positive things to say and helped me stay positive and upbeat even during some of the most trying parts of my hospitalization. Shyni is a wonderful nurse who is the epitome of the type of nurse who should be on this unit and in this hospital. I looked forward to seeing her because of the relaxing energy that came into the room with her. I truly believe calming energy also helps with recovery and I believe that having her as a nurse helped me be more motivated to work towards my discharge. I really wish I could have her as my home nurse. Shyni deserves a DAISY Award because nurses tend to be the unsung heroes and she needs to be recognized for the amazing person and nurse she is. She cares for her patients and it comes through with the care she provides for us.
