I wish all nurses could be like Genavieve. She was my brother's favorite nurse. She was very attentive to all of her patients' needs and seemed to make each one feel special and cared for. If my brother called for a nurse, she was quick to check on him. When he wanted to get cleaned up, she brought towels, wash rags, and body wash/shampoo. When we had questions about clear liquid diets, she gave us information on that. When there were problems with his discharge, Genavieve made phone calls to find out what was going on and why the home health agency was not there after 5 pm so he could be discharged. Genavieve is a gifted nurse, who is an amazing asset to the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY. She goes the extra mile for her patients and her patients are blessed by her presence. She also took the time to explain TPN and the PICC line dressing to me so I could change it if there was an emergency. I had so many questions and concerns, but she was patient and reassuring the whole time as she answered all of my questions.
