Katie is a Champion for patient rights, she always does her best to ensure our patients retain the most dignity. A recent patient was confused and removing his gown, Katie reached out to the daughter of the patient, obtained some of the patient’s shirts from home, and sewed closures in the back of the gown so his gown was always secure. Katie delivers this degree of care to every patient that she sees. Katie may not work at bedside care she delivers in the form of advocacy, discharge planning, patient-centered collaboration, and unconditional positive regard cannot be matched. She often says "never a dull day" and finds a way to make the "impossible" happen.
