Vanessa has delighted me with her caring personality and even takes it upon herself to find me to share any new things she has learned, which allows me to grow my knowledge alongside her.
Vanessa is a nice person, you can see it in her demeanor and posture, and her presence makes you feel like you are surrounded by someone with a good heart. With all that can happen during a workday in the hospital, she manages to stay calm and controlled. She is always in charge of her emotions and makes sure she passes the positivity she carries to everyone whom she encounters.
Vanessa started at Novant not too long before I did, but she has been one of the most helpful people I have worked with.
Vanessa has delighted me with her caring personality and even takes it upon herself to find me to share any new things she has learned, which allows me to grow my knowledge alongside her. Starting a new job, fitting into a new team, and learning new tasks can all be overwhelming, but she has made it just a bit easier by being herself.
She has shown that she cares about me by making sure I and those around her are always growing as nurses. Her actions show that she believes any strong member can help better a team, and when we all grow together the team can reach new levels! She doesn’t only care about me: she cares about everyone.
Another amazing characteristic Vanessa has is that she respects all of those around her. She has shown complete respect to me and all other colleagues. I have never heard her down-talk anyone which makes you feel comfortable around her and makes you feel like you can talk to her; especially to ask for help. She is an example of a nurse that any hospital and department should fight to have on their team because respect and positivity are a recipe for great professionalism.
Working with Vanessa has provided me with the opportunity to see and appreciate all her skills. She’s calm, positive, has full control of her time, and is extremely smart. Witnessing her treatment expand from coworkers to patients, and to their families is quite the site to see. It’s clear that caring for others is just so natural to her.
Vanessa makes me feel like she knows me. She takes time to listen to my difficulties, understands my strengths, and she dedicates her time to sharing her knowledge. She makes working with her easy because I know anytime that I need her, she will help and sometimes she is already there even when I haven’t asked. She isn’t just a nurse; she is a gift to us all!
