My husband was in the hospital at UT Health on the 6th North floor. We were very happy with the care from Shawn. My husband said he took his job very seriously. We were so impressed by the time and care he gave to my husband. We both thought he was an RN. He said he’s back to school to become one and we know he will be awesome because he was so professional about what he was doing.

There was a point to get his blood sugar level down that he kept trying and he said if my husband didn’t respond, he was calling his doctor, which is what he did. Through all their hard work, it finally did thankfully come down.

We think Shawn is a DAISY Nurse for his professional advice, care, compassion, and time he gave to my husband. He gave so much care and this made us both feel much more confident. He is a truly wonderful example of what a nurse should be.
