An accident, an illness, or any unexpected set of circumstances that land you or a loved one in the hospital can be devastating. Our precious 90-year-old mother tripped and fell while heading to the bathroom at home on Thursday. The shock of the fall and the pain she expressed were devastating, but to find that she broke 3 ribs and a toe proved to be physically and emotionally traumatic. After spending 15 hours in the emergency room, Mom was moved to a room on the 3rd floor of the hospital.

While all of the staff were capable and kind, we found one nurse to be exceptional. Michelle made an immediate connection with mother and assured her that she was going to take good care of her. She followed through on those words with action and she proved to be a woman of her word. She provided compassionate care and attention to mother’s needs. We are so grateful that this nurse understands that although this is a hard job, the most important thing for a qualified caring, compassionate professional to do is to make a heart connection. This is what Michelle does effortlessly. On behalf of all of our family, we wish to express our sincere appreciation for the love and care Michelle Dozier provided to my mom.
