Jung is curious, and thirsty for knowledge and learning
Jung is very articulate and has a curious mind that is combined with her natural critical thinking skills. Once she understood the “why’s” behind the operation, she and her co-CC developed a solid routine around teammate utilization and conversation. As a result, SB-LB became the highest-performing cost center in our region.

Another highlight of Jung’s contribution to our patients is her passion for Apheresis. Jung is curious, and thirsty for knowledge and learning. Once Jung understood the “gist” of it, there was no stopping her. She traveled throughout Orange County and LA County and raised her hand for any learning and education opportunity. Her preceptor is a 15 years Apheresis veteran, and getting his seal of approval also was a huge accomplishment she reached in such a short span of time. Just like any of our patients, Apheresis patients blindly rely on their treatment and therapy, probably even more so because of its complexity. Apheresis is often left out as the last modality for the dialysis RNs to learn and it remains one of our pain points to resolve the capacity and training opportunities we often face.

Under Jung’s guidance and encouragement, our team became the region that has the most Apheresis RNs. Not too long ago, we only had one RN who traveled and worked non-stop days to get to our Apheresis training. Thanks to Jung’s commitment and support, we now have 4 active Apheresis RNs plus 2 in training. We never have to say no or reschedule our Apheresis patients. 😊
