Joe always leaves you feeling like he couldn't be happier than when he is helping his patients have an easier, more enjoyable time in the hospital.
During my recent stay, all the nurses I encountered were wonderful. This is why I want to recognize Joe for going above and beyond on every level. No matter what middle-of-the-night request I had, he always answered professionally and with a smile. He never left me feeling like I was asking too much of him. Spending time in a hospital is always a rough situation, and Joe always leaves you feeling like he couldn't be happier than when he is helping his patients have an easier, more enjoyable time in the hospital.
I have a terminal illness, and it always hurts when I have to spend some of my last days in a hospital. Being cared for by an employee like Joe always makes things better. He constantly goes above and beyond what his job requires to make sure his patients are as happy as can be given their situations. Joe makes you laugh and as the saying goes “Sometimes laughter is the best medicine”. While I won’t be cured, Joe has made a difference in my overall outlook and care. Taking care of patients isn’t a job for everyone, but it’s surely Joe’s calling. I am not sure Joe himself will see this recognition, but I want him to know that an otherwise horrible experience was made so much better by his hard work ethic, and his personable, cheery bedside manner really made my time in the hospital a better experience. Thank you, Joe, for making a difference to me and all the other patients you encounter!
