Abby

RN
From the family: Abby always came in the room to take care of their mother in a cheerful, friendly, and professional manner. She kept the patient’s daughter updated on her condition and showed tremendous kindness and compassionate care. As the patient continued to decline, Abby was very consistent in monitoring the patient for pain and agitation. She wanted to make sure that the patient did not suffer.
Abby came into the room multiple times to check on the patient since she knew the patient was unable to advocate for herself. She shared with the patient’s daughter what she was doing and collaborated with the hospice nurse on how to care for the patient and discussed the patient’s pain management so that the patient did not suffer. Abby also took the time to do some teaching with the patient’s daughter and was always available for questions.
Abby is an exceptional nurse. Eager to also learn from the hospice nurse and is not afraid or intimidated to ask questions. Abby gave her patient confident directed care in her last days. Her family is grateful for her care.
