My Mama was at BSMH for her first round of chemotherapy after a diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma. As a special bonus bonding, our wonderful nurse was named Margaret! She was incredibly kind, compassionate, and the ultimate professional. Margaret explained everything thoroughly before each part of the procedure. She checked in frequently with my Mama and was at the ready for anything that we might need. Margaret made the beginning of this long journey so much better!

With only four trips to the unit, I know the stars were aligned because Margaret was there to make my treatment go as well as possible. Always there with a smile on her face, regardless of her patient load. Margaret has been a godsend to this unit, her patients, and me! I feel so blessed to have her help me through this brief period in my life. I hope to return the same to those that follow me through volunteering and donations to the unit, as I have been inspired by her kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism on each and every visit.
