John Ray kept our mom and family well informed of all progress, tests, and procedures, and with confidence. He is personable and patient-centered.
Our 84 year old mother was admitted to the cardiovascular floor. This was a surprise to her family. We had no idea she had a 90% blockage to her LAD until early that morning when she experienced chest pains and EMS was called. Upon arrival, our mom was transferred to the cardiac cath lab and received a stent. Upon transfer to her room, or shortly thereafter our mom experienced a hematoma to her cardiac cath site. John Ray had received her report at bedside and it did not show her hematoma. With John Ray's thorough assessment, it was noted that in fact there was a hematoma. He gathered the care team and they promptly started the interventions necessary to keep the hematoma from progressing. John Ray kept our mom and family well informed of all progress, tests, and procedures, and with confidence. He is personable and patient-centered. He brought positive energy every time he entered the room. My mom can be a difficult patient at times and he always seemed to make her laugh and smile. He kept her and us at ease with his attentiveness and confidence. We were fortunate to have him as our nurse for 3 of the days. All of the nurses we had over our 5-day stay were very nice. Our favorite though was John Ray. This compliment is from a nurse with almost 41 years of experience and an OT of 25 years. John Ray is an excellent team member and a fine asset to patient care!
