Syd is one of the best RNs we have on our unit. She is a great asset on our team. Her smile and caring attitude lift the whole floor (staff and patients). She really cares about her patients. For example, helping wash/braid patients' hair. She wrote a whole med list for a Spanish-speaking patient just so they knew when to take meds in the AM/PM. It’s been such an honor seeing her grow from a Student Nurse Tech to RN to a preceptor, charge RN, wound liaison, etc. She deserves so many DAISIES and I know the floor does too. The past two holidays she decorated and personalized the décor. For Christmas she made a different snowflake for each staff member and hearts with funny Valentine puns.

Syd is human sunshine! She is consistently going above and beyond for her patients and her team. She makes the rainy days sunny, and you won’t ever catch her with a frown. For the winter holidays, she has taken the time to decorate our unit and make it feel fun to go into work. 7400 wouldn’t be the same without Sydney and we are so happy to have her.

Sydney is a ray of sunshine. She is so happy, and you can just see how much she loves the work and the patients. She is a natural leader and is very engaged in the department. She makes us all better. She is a role model nurse.

Sydney’s nickname is “Little Miss Sunshine” and that describes her perfectly! She is always smiling and takes pride in her work. She provides excellent patient care and is a wonderful preceptor. She makes hard days easier and is very compassionate toward her patients and her co-workers. Sydney has such a positive attitude, it is contagious!
