My wife had extensive surgery on her left elbow. Her surgery was complicated but successful. After the surgery and initially in the recovery room, the pain was extreme however a sacred nurse by the name of Karen Joyce took comforting and strengthening care of S. She dabbed her eyes as tears were flowing, she encouraged her and comforted her as the pain medicine finally kicked in. We know why her last name is Joyce because Karen brought complete joy to my wife and me as she cared for S in recovery. Karen is a sincere, genuine, and authentic sacred child of God. Her care, her comfort, and her encouragement came from the depths of her heart and soul. We could see it and observe it in her eyes (even though she was wearing a mask). The discharge paperwork was thoroughly explained by Karen with us and asked if we had any questions. Her review was so thorough we did not have any questions. She helped get my wife into the wheelchair as I went to get the car and she had her on the edge of the entranceway waiting for the car. As we left she gave us the most heartfelt smile we have ever experienced while wishing us the best. Also, we were encouraged to call if we had any questions whatsoever. Our hearts and souls have been touched by her healing care and concern.
