I am extremely proud to write this letter of nomination for Ms. Alexandra Prophete, who is head nurse of the MICU. Ms. Prophete is a consummate professional who always puts the patients and their families at the center of the MICU. Ms. Prophete demonstrates a strong commitment to quality care and strives to achieve that goal on a daily basis. Ms. Prophete’s calm demeanor even during stressful situations is an inspiration to everyone she works with, including all members of the disciplinary team. Ms. Prophete is a conscientious head nurse and a woman of integrity who conducts herself in a professional and respectful manner to patients, families, and staff. I am quite fortunate to have this opportunity to work with Ms. Prophete.

As a PCA, I’ve observed Ms. Prophete for at least ten years on the same unit. Her professional dedication has moved me in a way that when I see other young people who have similar traits, I encourage them to become more than a PCA. Ms. Prophete has taught me many ways to improve patient care. Although it may take a little longer before I’m through, the patients are usually happy with their full care. She is a teacher, supervisor, and inspector because she leaves no stone unturned when it comes to cleanliness and order. She is very soft-spoken but very effective. She is a fighter for what she believes in when it comes to doing the right things for her patients and staff alike. May our heavenly father continue to bless and prosper her way in Jesus’ name.
