One night, a co-worker and I ended up in the ER with a young lady who is currently a foster child on our caseload. This young lady had been a runaway for the past month and a half and had recently been found. As the legal guardian of this young lady, we felt it was necessary to have her checked out as she was having some issues. From the very start of the visit, our nurse was great. Ms. Gleniece was so calm and was very open and honest with this young lady about her female health. Ms. Gleniece gave her a lesson on the female body and broke things down in a way that this young lady would understand. This young lady was angry and upset and Ms. Gleniece never got angry or changed anything about her demeanor or tone, in turn making this young lady feel important and valued. All this together made things easier for my co-worker and me. I jokingly stated to my co-worker that we needed a clone of Ms. Gleniece because her demeanor and her smile and her willingness to help our young lady fully understand the long-term risks of her decisions were amazing. I truly believe that Ms. Gleniece made a meaningful impact on our young lady's life that night and we thank her!!
