LT Lakesa Williams is an outstanding Nurse whose hardened work ethic and enthusiasm are unmatched at NMRTC. Her positive outlook and outstanding leadership skills guide us every day to excellence and instill our core values of “Honor, Courage, and Commitment.” Since transferring to this department, LT Williams has worked tirelessly by scheduling, briefing, and coordinating 275 cases for five different departments with utmost precision and attention to patient needs. LT William’s bedside manner and caring spirit put our patients at ease before they are brought into their care setting. LT Williams often plays middleman coordinating care between the providers, patients, and all support staff to ensure there is a smooth transition and proper turnovers performed in regard to the patient’s world-class care and safety. She personally reviewed and assisted with 513 pre-care packets and oversaw patient briefs and ensured SARSCOV-2 PCR tests to ensure the staff were protected from the COVID virus. As Infection Control Officer, she engaged with every department in the hospital ensuring proper safety precautions were met regarding hand sanitation, proper protective equipment use, instrument sterilization protocols, and regular staff education in regards to infection control. LT William’s passion for the mission and attention to detail led to our outstanding Joint Commission inspection and led to Accreditation in 2022. LT William’s love for each of the patients and their safety make this member one of the best nurses wearing the uniform and truly represent everything it means to be a United States Navy Nurse and a terrific person to work with!
