Diana Turner embodies the fundamental values of nursing. She always prioritizes her patients and goes above and beyond to anticipate their needs. I have witnessed Diana comfort patients during the worst time of their lives. She was their only anchor when the storms of life had become too much. She genuinely cares about every patient she takes care of and works diligently to improve their quality of life. When she is a patient's nurse, she treats them holistically and prioritizes their hospital experience. Diana is not just a great nurse, she is also a great team member. She is always reliable and willing to help others. She is a role model to new nurses and to me. During codes and difficult shifts, she is looked to for guidance and is a valuable resource. Diana is an essential part of our unit. She helps our unit by being a charge nurse, preceptor, picking up extra shifts, and filling gaps in the schedule. There is not a single nurse on our unit that Diana has not had a positive impact on. Her optimism and natural leadership are what make working with her remarkable.
