ND (as he is known to everyone in ED) is a very valued member of the ED team. He always takes one for the team and always goes beyond expectations. He is very gentle and he cares for patients in the most outstanding manner that shows respect and compassion for everyone. He is respectful to everyone and always tries his best to help colleagues and patients. He has a kind and loving heart and it radiates to the care that he gives our patients even though the department is extremely busy.

Nurse Ndubisi (ND) is a real asset to our department, he always goes above and beyond. On two accounts he has taken time out of his duties to provide excellent care and basic nursing care to two homeless people. Giving them a bath and paying extra care to their hygiene needs while also managing his busy workload within the emergency department. ND is always providing extra support to his peers and juniors despite being a newly qualified nurse himself. He is always approachable in a ‘happy’ mood bringing good vibes to those around him which even supports me as a ward manager and a contagious laugh. He was a victim of racial abuse but continued to deliver a high standard of non-judgmental care to the patient with a smile. I feel I don’t have enough words to praise ND but he inspires me and a lot of people within the department and I believe he is well deserving of this award and we need more nurses like him.
