Our Patient Experience team received feedback from a patient who was touched by Donna's commitment to helping them, her patience, and her kindness. A patient's wife was in need of a scan of her legs as requested by cardiology. He and his wife walked around the Edward Hospital campus for 2 hours because they couldn't understand the map. They asked various people on campus and didn't receive much help. They met Donna, who is the Edward Hospital Heart Failure Navigator. They said what she did for them was unbelievable.

She spent 45-60 minutes going from desk to desk getting the job done for them. They were very impressed with her. She was professional and a wonderful human and their hearts were thankful for her help. Donna said she was happy to help this amazing couple. It broke her heart how frustrated and scared they were. Additionally, Donna shared that what the wife needed was an MRI so she could be cleared to fly to Europe to see their family. Without that MRI, they could not leave. They called Donna to report that the MRI was good, and they were leaving on their trip in a few days! Without Donna's help, this trip could have been delayed or canceled and thanks to her kindness and compassion to help this couple, they were able to go on their trip together.
