Nancy came into the hospital that night specifically to care for me during the heartbreaking necessity of delivering our 19-week preterm boy. She immediately took the best care of our physical and emotional needs. From answering questions, tending to my pain, helping me get to the bathroom, regularly checking on us, getting endless ice, making sure we ate, and ensuring we were able to sleep. Nancy didn't stop there. She also helped us get the photographer, funeral director, paperwork, and time with family in the midst of all her other duties. If that wasn't enough, she made us laugh, cried with us, comforted me in every moment I needed more support, and even helped us load our car on the way out. In the midst of such grief and difficulty, Nancy was without a doubt the best nurse I could have asked for. The only thing I could be sad about is that all future nurses will never live up to this new standard of truly excellent nursing! Thank you so much, Nancy!
