My mother was in ORMC for 5 days. Chasitty was her nurse on multiple days. I noticed Chasitty was also the charge nurse. My mother’s pain, fever and cough fluctuated constantly. Every time she needed anything, Chasitty was there immediately. I always took notes on medications, times, etc and she was always patiently spelling names of medications and making sure my mother was comfortable. I watched as Chasitty took the same care of the nurses around the unit as well. She was always busy but never rushed when it came to caring for those around her, especially my mother. By the time we left, Chasitty not only felt like our expert nurse but also part of our family. We will always be grateful that in a difficult situation, we had Chasitty to care for my mother. I have been a patient in ORMC for 5 days. Chasitty has been my nurse and her care has been exceptional. Chasitty has been quick to respond to my every need. She has explained medications, procedures, labs, and all tests that were given to me. I have felt that Chasitty truly cared for me and wanted to help me improve each day. She welcomed my 3 children as they visited as well as my husband. Chasitty answered questions that they had. I observed as she interacted with the doctors and other nurses. There were some serious emergencies that arose. Chasitty was right there to help and was a very calming influence on the nurses and doctors. Each doctor, tech, respiratory therapist, CNA, radiologist, ECHO specialist, CT & MRI departments each mentioned how much they enjoyed working with her. Chasitty serves with care, compassion, kindness, and understanding with nurses, fellow employees, and patients. I will always consider Chasitty as a friend even though we only met for a few days.
