My mom has been back in the hospital for a couple weeks after things going downhill again from her brain aneurysm rupture. A challenge for her caregivers has been that she is fairly suspicious of medications, and it can take a long time to convince her to take her very needed medications. Ashley had been so patient with this process. I know it is a frustrating process, and I've seen others lose patience and see it in the way they start talking and acting, but not Ashley. Despite the tiring process of repeating things over and over, talking through each medication, helping my mom feel safe, and then doing the entire process again about 5 or 6 or 7 times before my mom will take the medication, Ashley keeps a cool, calm, kind, and patient demeanor. She continues to show kindness to my mom and treats her like the human being she is and we as her family always hope others will treat her as. Ashley is an angel of patience and kindness.
