I highly appreciate the service and care received from Nurse Joyce following my appointment with Doctor. The earliest available appointment for the sleep study was after 6 weeks but Joyce noted my request for an earlier appointment in case of a cancellation. She was very prompt in updating me once the insurance approval was received. She explained the procedure and all the Do’s and Don’t clearly and patiently which shows her meticulous work culture. Even on the day of my appointment though she was not on duty she called and assisted me in getting in touch with the technician.

Ms. Joyce Orbista is very focused on ensuring the sleep lab services are utilized well. Often times patients have their preferences when bookings are made. She takes their preferences into consideration and ensures all patients are booked for the study on their preferred dates (excellent management of bookings). Her coordination skills are exemplary. She coordinates with the in-house consultant, referral site nurses, insurance, IP admissions, Emergency PAs, and Sleep Lab Tech and makes sure that patients have a smooth journey and experience when booked for a study. On one occasion we had a patient - who had to be accommodated urgently and she went out of her way to ensure all the stakeholders were involved to ensure we can accommodate the patient. The patient - a VIP client was very happy that she got to do the study and was satisfied with the services. It was all because Ms. Joyce took that extra step of looking at all options that could be considered. Another factor is the way she prepares her patients to be ready for earlier appointments in case of cancellations. Hence, she has a waiting list of patients that she can approach if there are sudden cancellations. One such patient who was impressed with her verbalized, that she was so glad that she was able to get an earlier appointment and she could start her treatment (as this patient has to be started on CPAP - for her Sleep Apnea disorder). Credit to Ms. Joyce who is so dedicated to her work and does it with passion, commitment and living the true Mediclinic Values. Well Done JOYCE! you are a star.

Over the years, Joyce has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to patient care with admirable consistency. Her attention to detail and systematic approach to taking care of patients is one important link in the chain of success for the pulmonary and sleep service at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital. Joyce had taken upon herself the challenge of learning to do basic pulmonary function testing when our respiratory technician was on leave this year, she did an excellent job at that. I had been visiting Doctor to deal with my sleep Apnea. I have been interfacing with Sr. Joyce since the beginning. I have been taking note of her courteous and pleasant nature from the beginning. She was the one that was doing all the coordination for my sleep study. And she did a splendid job at doing so. Providing the appropriate amount of details, communication, and guidance. Needless to say, due to the nature in which she did the work, I had to face no hassles in completing my sleep study. Splendid job to her and keep it up.
