Bethany was an absolute angel to our family. We brought our grandmother to the ER after she became acutely ill at home. She was in such pain and looked like she wouldn’t make it much longer. Since the moment we stepped foot into the ER at Phelps, Bethany made us feel comforted and went above and beyond her duty as a nurse.

It was a Saturday afternoon and Bethany went out of her way to contact the on-call chaplain, which is something my grandmother would have wanted, and even stayed after the end of her shift to make sure she personally accompanied my grandmother to the ICU. Bethany expedited orders, kept us diligently informed of when results were available, and made herself available despite having an incredibly busy patient ratio herself. She was pleasant and kind to my entire family of visitors, and even while my grandmother was not mentally aware, spoke to her with respect and dignity.

Bethany is the true definition of a compassionate and empathetic nurse and she made my family (a family of nurses) feel comforted in quite possibly the most vulnerable state of our lives.
