He is the total package of a compassionate, caring, professional, proactive, and informed nurse. He investigated things about Mom’s health that others never had.
My mom is 86 and has had numerous hospital stays. She had her first heart attack at the age of 53, had a Triple AAA at the age of 79, and has an implanted defibrillator. Bottom line, she had had the pleasure and honor of having many nurses take care of her.

She recently had to be readmitted after a six-day earlier stay for an “ERCP” and gallbladder removal due to complications from the surgery. My mother was demoralized, scared, weak, and hungry from no food per ER doctor for 36 hours.

Fortunately for my mom and our family, Alex was assigned to care for her. Of all her nurses over the last 33 years of hospitalizations, he is absolutely the most “stellar”. He is the total package of a compassionate, caring, professional, proactive, and informed nurse. He investigated things about Mom’s health that others never had. Her heart pacing was high, so he had a cardio-electrical tech check her defibrillator. He noticed when she slept her O2 went low, and proactively addressed that and suggested in the future a sleep study. He was patient with Mom, and the family. Even when things were getting a little tense the first morning, due to Mom being scared and unhappy, he kept us all afloat. We all said, “We wish he was our Nurse Practitioner,” even though he is not one, for the reason being, he is so complete.
