Vince could tell that I was nervous beyond words, and he provided an empathetic ear, his encouraging attitude contributed so much to my being able to stay calm.
Having a heart procedure can be very traumatic more so when you are constantly out of breath, have chest pain and are extremely fatigued. Such was my case when I came in for a heart cath.
Thank heaven for nurses like Vince Tanguma who not only provide excellent nursing care but care for the patient with such sensitivity and compassion; are knowledgeable and have the ability to explain medical terms to where a non-medical person can understand. Vince could tell that I was nervous beyond words, and he provided an empathetic ear, his encouraging attitude contributed so much to my being able to stay calm.
The procedure did not start till a little after 2:00 pm which meant he had to stay with me until past 9:00 pm. He did so without any complaints and his attitude remained as encouraging and positive as it was when I came in at 6:00 am.
Unfortunately, the results of the heart Cath did not prove to be what were expected and I will have to return once more for another procedure, my hope is that Vince will once again be my nurse. Thank you, Vince for the excellent care and treatment you provided not only to me, but to my daughter as well. We are both grateful beyond words. Many blessings to you!
