Kaitlyn is an Extraordinary Nurse because not only is she thorough, but she is also kind, compassionate, and detail-oriented, which I LOVE! She was with us from the beginning when my son got his port and has followed us through his entire 30-day inpatient stay. She calmed my nerves when watching my son go through his treatment with her upbeat and positive personality. She was a nurse who did everything she said she would. She is a nurse who gave 110% and most importantly, a nurse I trusted. I am a parent who would rather do things myself to ensure it is done the very best, and Kaitlyn was someone whom I trusted would do everything perfectly and higher than standard. She set the bar very high for nurses from the beginning and whoever gets to work with her is very, VERY lucky. She also explained my son's diagnosis and different details along the way of our stay, which was so helpful for our family. There is a difference between a nurse who comes in and does their job and a nurse who treats you and your family as a priority. Kaitlyn made that difference to us as she made us feel like our son and his health were her priority, even when we know she has other patients to tend to. We LOVE Kaitlyn.
